Cushman & Wakefield is the world’s largest global real estate services firm. Employing 11,000 staff in 49 countries, Cushman & Wakefield deals with the whole spectrum of commercial property issues, conducting estate agency, property valuation, research and consultancy, investment, financial and other professional services.
Texunatech is a preferred software provider to Cushman & Wakefiled, supplying the company with full-scale business process management solutions. The first of these is the Valuation System. Previously, Cushman & Wakefiled’s valuation department was required to conduct property valuations by visiting the sites, recording information manually, re-entering it into paper files on their return to the office, making the calculations then filing all the documents in a physical storage system accessible by other departments.
Texunatech analysed the business processes involved and re-engineered the way the valuation department works, retaining the essential elements of their work whilst refining and streamlining it. Now the department’s proforma documents are available online, are stored electronically and are available to the rest of the organisation via security-controlled access rights. The next phase is to roll out the system onto hand-held devices so staff from the valuation department can complete the entire valuation process on-site.
All solutions provided by Texunatech integrate and share databases with Cushman & Wakefield’s existing applications which are written around Oracle architecture, and the business logic code is based on Java technology.
