Department for Children, Schools and Families

Department for Children, Schools and Families (DCSF) has selected Texunatech to develop a new version of its EduBase system.

EduBase is a comprehensive database of educational establishments across England and Wales. It enables people from all over the world to find all types of educational opportunities, from nurseries to colleges — based on any applicable search criteria.

Texunatech is currently working on version two of the EduBase system, which will be based on our tried and tested Soltex platform. The project is to go live in September 2008.

• Web-based reporting module to make searching for appropriate establishment easier and more accurate.
• Introduction of interoperability standards and conformance audit to allow third-party information systems to access EduBase.

• Integration of online payments system to issue specialised reports and datasets on a subscription or transactional basis.
