Justgiving

Justgiving is a means of donating money to charities electronically. By managing the donation process electronically, Justgiving eliminates much of the administration costs associated with charitable donations, allowing donors to give money using credit and debit cards, standing orders and direct debits. It also reclaims from the Inland Revenue a proportion of each donation it handles and passes this extra money directly to the designated charity.

Justgiving has introduced a scheme whereby donations can be made directly from payroll. Such donations attract further tax benefits, meaning even more money reaches the charity. Texunatech provided full analysis of Justgiving’s plan to implement a web-enabled ‘Payroll Giving System’ to be built on top of their current donation engine. The analysis followed the Unified Process, providing documents detailing business vision, requirements, uses cases and full specification, and culminated in a functional prototype.

Texunatech has been retained in an ongoing support and integration role. Texunatech has provided integration services for introduction of the Payroll Giving System to large organisations, ensuring the Payroll Giving Systems meshes seamlessly with the HR and Payroll systems of Justgiving’s customers.
