Validation
Soltex typically provides both client-side and server-side validation of submitted records and datasets. Data providers have instant access to validation reports on data they have submitted with issues highlighted to indicate potential inconsistencies and errors in submitted records. Once a validation check is not passed, provider has a possibility to drill down to suspicious records directly from validation results, edit these records and then immediately resubmit them to pass validation checks.
With validation rules and data acceptance thresholds configurable through data management portal by support stuff, this feature alleviates burdens on data providers and substantially reduces data warehouse upkeep costs and data collection speed.
Typically Soltex offers two types of validation: client-side and server-side. It is important, however, that client-side validation can be used only if JavaScript is enabled on a client PC. Consequently, if the system should operate with JavaScript disabled for accessibility, compliance or other reasons, then validation checks would be performed on server side (without affecting system’s performance and validation reliability).
